Photography is my life. It is not a job. It is not a hobby. It is my life force and the very thing that drives my life. I fell in love with photography in my 20s but didn't realize that it was "my gift" until it helped me find myself. I believe I met photography way before that but lacked the confidence or vision to recognize the connection. I, on the other hand, have always been an artist. I have written for small publications. I have been in an exhibition. I continue to create, and sew, and see things in my mind's eye on a regular basis.
Photography is eternal. It's a constant search and so joyful and painful and interesting. It is everything to me and is an ever growing art and passion in my life.
I also love food. A decade ago, I decided to attend culinary school to become a chef. However, just because you enjoy eating doesn't mean that you will enjoy the long hours and stressful environment of the hospitality industry. I am also a college graduate and majored in Legal Research and Writing. I started college in 2000 and finished in 2012 at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah OK. I am a traveler. I am the eternal learner. I am also a veteran!
I had the distinguished honor to be apart of our wonderful country's military for more than 8 years and serve next to some of the most devoted and honorable human beings.
I am mother to two AMAZING children and an equally amazing life partner. I am surrounded by some of the most amazing and positive people who encourage me to follow my passion though there are no right or wrong answers if I will be a commercial success. I am already a success because I am no longer making compromises in quality and art to please. I am simply creating.
This is a short list of a very long list of people, places, and things that bring me joy on a regular basis. I feel that I am one of the luckiest people in the world since I have found happiness and joy in the normal and regular things in life. Life is beautiful and so are the people that surround me.
